Modern Political Theory. Second half of sequence, but does not require or presuppose 1A (Classical Political Theory). Themes and concepts associated with modernity: social-contract theory; equality and rights; the origins of democracy, liberalism and individualism; the origins of protest, revolution and radicalism; and economics and the bureaucratic state.
